Cindy Vaughn Stein comes to Team West Realty after a 34-year professional career as a doctor of chiropractic. Cindy is a 1984 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic
In 1997, Texas Governor George W. Bush appointed her to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In 2000, Governor Bush appointed her Board President where she served for 3 years. She has also served as the Texas State Delegate to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards.
In August 2002, Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Anthony Principi appointed Cindy to the Veterans Affairs Chiropractic Advisory Committee, which was charged with advising the Secretary on how best to implement chiropractic into the VA system. Then, in January 2005, VA Secretary R. James Nicholson appointed her to the Advisory Committee on Chiropractic Care Implementation that was charged with oversight of the chiropractic benefit.
Cindy has also served as the East Texas Delegate to the American Chiropractic Association (“ACA”); she has served as Chairman of the ACA Clinical Documentation Committee; she was a member of the ACA Membership Executive Committee, the ACA Bylaws Committee, the ACA Media Response Committee, and the ACA Coding and Reimbursement Committee. In June 2007, she received the highest award from the Texas Chiropractic Association, the “Keeler Plaque,” and in September 2008, she received ACA's "Delegate of the Year Award" at their annual House of Delegates Meeting. In 2009, Cindy was elected a member of the Parker College of Chiropractic’s Board of Trustees, and in August 2014, was elected its Chairman of the Board.
Over her esteemed career, she has bought and sold numerous residential and commercial properties, and is extremely excited about sharing her expertise with interested clients. Cindy and her husband, Tim, reside in north Austin; she is the proud mother of 3 wonderful children and 2 amazing grand-children.
